Frankfurt Airport is in a position to continue to grow at a rapid pace. The airport city will benefit from a core, a center that is lacking today. The next step in the development of the airport is the addition of an ICE (high speed train) station. This is an opportunity – more than just another system added to the intermodal knot. The ICE station means first rate access to –thanks to the speed of the train- an expanding population on a two hour travel distance, it will improve the comfort of travelling, substitute feeder flights and attract new activity.
