Recently in Europe, most serious architectural attention has gone to the historical centre, leaving the purely contemporary condition - the kind of city generated by the 20th century - orphaned.
The area within the Grand Périmètre is such a condition - a collection of loosely organized architectural objects, positioned with more or less success in a park-like condition on a spectacular topography. The objects are connected by roads and infrastructures, it has a functional coherence, but how to consolidate - plan - this condition so that it becomes "city” without imposing an irrelevant model?
